    Retroband Motel Hell Vincent Figure

Hello everyone. I just recently started collecting Retroband figures; unfortunately, I didn't learn about his work until late last year, so I missed almost everything while it was still possible to get them without paying the crazy aftermarket prices. I was fortunate enough to win a spot in the online lottery held by the Clutter Gallery the weekend before last to purchase the new Motel Hell Vincent figure, which was being shown in the (In)action Figures 2 show. Thought I'd share a picture of it for anyone who's interested in his work. Very cool figure.

Pretty wild! He'd fit right in with anyone's Cantina diorama.

Heck yeah, nice score! I tried for one, but didn't get picked. Really wanted one too, love the film. I have the Halloween III Witch and the Silent Night Deadly Night figures, as well as a couple prints and a sticker pack. Really into the Retroband stuff!

Thanks guys. I have the Silent Night Deadly Night figure coming now. Congrats on scoring the Witch TCM Hitchhiker. I just can't convince myself to spring for the Halloween III trio figures when they pop up for sale now, as much as I'd love to have them. The lowest I've seen one of those go for is $300 with the majority of them going for between $400 and $600. It's just crazy!

Thanks a lot. Another Halloween III auction just ended. Surely the buyer didn't realize that this was in British Pounds. If not, this is way out of control: http://tinyurl.com/mojuvfv

Yeah, the secondary prices are crazy. That's the biggest problem. For most, there is no way you can complete a collection. I am very happy to have what I do though.

That is getting insane. I get that it's rare and all, but gosh....

I like these figures a lot. I don't know if I'll ever get one, but they are certainly cool. He did some Creepshow ones that I loved. Jordy Verrill came out great.

Yeah, I missed the Jordy Verrill, but got the other Creepshows. I have to accept the fact I'll probably never own it. The popularity and aftermarket for these has increased exponentially in the past 5 months.

The retroband releases make it realllly hard to stick to my just "aliens/spacemen/robots&monsters" focus of collecting. I really can't afford the secondary market for this stuff anyways at the moment, however, I find this sort of "bootleg" homemade figures really inspiring.

Does anyone know how these are made? I mean, these aren't factory jobs, so how are the figures molded and assembled? I'd love to create my own figures on a scale like this.

I just assume he either makes resin molds, or gets multiples of the figures he wants to use.

                            Always liked that movie.
Why do they make these things so scarce?

Good to know my wife and I aren't the only ones who like this movie. And that figure is awesome.
