Kinda gives me a DC Super Friends meets Teen Titans vibe.

    Looks fun

What WHAT?!? I have no idea how good this is, but I'm totally behind this, esp. with the DCU movies going so dark and NON-kid friendly.

      Dawnstar?!? Karate Kid?!?

And doesn't Superman look postiively Cavill-like in the face?

        Some info here:

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has confirmed that the new all-ages animated feature JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time will hit DVD on Tuesday, January 21st, 2014. The DVD-only release will be available exclusively at American Target

Diedrich Bader! Let's hope he's Batman!

        EDITED TO ADD:

Okay, read that article. This quote kills me:

The studio has noted that if JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time is commercially successful through its exclusive Target “stealth release,” it will eventually expand and be available at other retail outlets. However, that is a not a guarantee.
WHY? Why not give this a push just like the other Direct to DVD movies? Why put this out right as JL: War is looming? Why not give it a true chance? Is it because it's too kid-friendly, and not edgy enough?

I'm glad this exists on principle only, but why half-arse put this out there like this?

WB's marketing strategies boggle the mind.

Dubbed a “stealth release,” wherein a home entertainment product is given no promotion and limited availability due to its perceived audience reach, JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time is an all-new animated feature featuring the Justice League facing off against the classic Legion of Doom.

so bizarre. All they would need to do is send a press release to all the comics sites and that's all the free publicity they need once the social media catches it.

I need a little cash for a trip to Target.

It's never been more clear that WB/DC Entertainment does not understand it's audience. I don't mind PG-13 or even som R-rated super hero material, but G and PG fair is what I fell in love with as a kid.

I would have made a special trip to Target yesterday had I known of it's release.

^It's due out this coming Tuesday, the 21st. You haven't missed it yet.

Obviously agree on WB's cluelessness with the DC properties.

during the Fatman on Batman podcast, Paul Dini claims Beware the Batman is ending. How many episodes have aired? 12?

Maybe that many. I think they did the one season. I wasn't huge on it, but it was growing on me. CN won't give straight shows a chance it seems any more. Everything has to have some quirky, ironic goofy element to it. They renewed Teen Titans Go!, which is fun, but the straight DC shows keep getting axed. I still miss GL; Animated. It was great.

This looks right up my alley, just don't use anything but cash at Target. Unfortunately my daughters been hacked twice.

I don't understand why there is a proliferation of different versions and designs of the DC Universe in movies, videos, cartoons, toys and merchandise and yet the only real comic version they love to force down our throats is the New 52. Honestly, the left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing...

^I was thinking the same thing. Right now the kids are exposed to Man of Steel, Dark Knight trilogy, Power Attack Batman, New 52, Classic DC, Batman 66, DC Super Friends/Imaginext, the Arkham games, the various DCU animated movies, the various DC Nation shorts...you name it, it's out there at arm's length. Yet there are only a handful of comics NOT set in the New 52 continuity. Go figure.

WB/DC's exclusive deal with Target makes "stealth" sound more PR than actual marketing tactic.

As in, it's a stealth release because marketing falls on Target. Target does a lot of in-store promotions, but near zero outside.

^It could have been part of WB and Target's deal that WB develop a Target only DVD. Or, WB could have decided to dump it at Target due to their agreement. Either way, I think something like this deserves the same kind of promotion the DCU movies get...or more even.

I agree too! This seems like a better idea for a series than Beware the Batman.
