Damn what a shame oh well, what can you do I guess.
just glad I got my three doctors I'm confident I can customize the rest.
But I will be looking for a dalek and k-9.
To bad they weren't able to pump out all the doctors first.

Told my wife, as she was really looking forward to the 10th Doctor being made. Bummer. Also stinks that there won't be a Davros, Sarah Jane, Doctors 2,3,5,6,7,8,9, War Doctor, 13th Doctor, and, oh so many more characters and companions.

Not blaming BBP of course - more than happy with the figures I did get, plus a Tardis & K-9! This stuff happens, it's a disappointment, but it does open doors for BBP to deliver more goodness via other lines in 2014. Who knows? Maybe the BBC will do a backtrack someday!
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

Thank you for the kind words and support of this line. We were proud of the products we produced, and had all kinds of plans for the future - specifically all of the Doctors - of course, and many more characters that interact with the current Doctor. We also received approval on producing replicas of the Denys Fisher products and packaging. Although we do not have the license anymore, the door is still open to future possibilities.

That means the Peter Capaldi sculpt will go to waste.

The potential for Denys Fisher Who repros is amazing. Shame it didn't come to pass but perhaps in the future. I never had much interest in the modern stuff, other lines do that pretty well. Though even CO struggles a bit these days. Hope we can see a BBP giant robot repro some day.

Thanks for the ride, BBP. I love what we got, and will mourn for what we would have if you didn't run out of road. Looks like Pertwee will jump to the top of my customs list.

Yeah, that's the biggest shame of all as far as I'm concerned. He should have been a much higher priority IMO.

So it's basically the BBC that pulled the plug.
                        Did they say why?
                        .
                        .
                        .

I'll keep my fingers crossed that somewhere down the road, they'll let you pick up where you left off.

I just saw this on a Doctor Who page and immediately came here to weep with my Mego family. BBP and Who were easily my favorite Mego-like license (with the Diamond monsters a close second) and the loss of both really hurts.

I started the Character Options, but had to stop because the prices became a bit too much for a tiny figure. Some of those were really expensive.
                              Now this.
Seems like Who collecting is doomed...

You know, this combined with the fact that they pulled the comics license from IDW makes me think they might be trying to make a big push for Capaldi's series, hoping that the spotlight from the 50th might give them some momentum to maybe net some "bigger fish" or charge more for the license? Pure speculation, but it could be if no one else swoops in to grab a similar license (or they get a similar license that does not cover retro) then BBP could come back into the fold. I hope so.
