Hi all. Does anyone still make silk screened body suits? I was looking for a Captain America. I never liked the mego version and I don't really want to do all the sewing of the sleeves and stripes.
Hey, I've been screen printing suits. here's a link to a Cap Suit I did, I also made a version in lighter blue with sleeves that were a little longer. I know some others do them too. Check out my gallery for some of my customs that I silk screen printed.
I actually did a real silk screened suit about 2 years ago.
I still have some left but they are packed away right now.
send me a pm if this is what you're looking for and i'll keep your name for when i come across them.
Thanks for all of your help. I'm thinking I might want to try this on my own, but I don't do silk-screen. I did however, find some letter size cotton sheets online that I can run through my inkjet printer. I did a mock up of a pattern, but has anyone used those cotton sheets to make clothes? The mock up is below.
I've used those sheets. They work pretty well, but there is no stretch to them at all, so you have to be pretty precise with your measurements and sewing. I usually use two full sheets, one for the front and one for the back, that way there is a little more margin for error. It helps sometimes to print the pattern at 105% actual size since the fabric won't stretch, and then sew just inside the edge of the print. here is an example of my results. Avenger_Cap.jpg
