Doctor Mego's Great visit to the High School of Art & Design in NYC

    Greetings,
    doctor_mego_01.jpgdoctor_mego_02.jpgdoctor_mego_03.jpgdoctor_mego_samples.jpg
The other day Paul Clarke aka "DOC MEGO" was nice enough to speak to my Animation students at the High School of Art & Design. It was amazing to see how responsive they were to his insight on the toy industry, and how it affects the animation industry. Several of the kids have already been working in Autodesk Maya and Mudbox, and sending the files off to Shape ways for prototyping, so it was amazing to see a reflection of that workflow in the presentation.

Anyhow here were a couple of pictures from the event. If anyone else works with or has teenagers, I think this side of our hobby is a great way to promote technical skills, production, and the professional world.

Thanks again for your visit Doc!

Very cool! Lucky kids... I would have loved to sit in on a class like this. Doc is very amazing at demystifying to process for newbies, as I'm discovering first hand.

It's always great to hear about Paul. One of the great stories in the Mego universe. We wouldn't be here to day without his tremendous contributions. A true scholar of the hobby.
