Vintage Palitoy adverts

As part of the research for a personal project, I have spent a few years looking for old Action Man adverts. The ones on youtube, as interesting as they are, are a bit naff in terms of quality.
Just as I was about to resign myself to the fact that better source material would probably never show up, I managed to unearth 3 reels of 35mm film, in a film Archive here in London.



Simon from Premier Comms here in London has done a great job with the Telecine, especially considering the fact that the film wasnt in that great a shape. Another ten years and this part of toy history would have been lost!



Quality ranges from excellent to so-so.

Whoa, fantastic quality, thanks for uploading all these! Man, those are so clear I can see that they used the very early pink lipped Trek figures in the ad. Great stuff!

Glad they are going down so well. Its interesting to see what products were original to Palitoy, and which ones were from overseas companies like Mego etc

Its sad to think that theres more out there from other brands, and they dont have long left before they all just fade away... :(

Working in VFX, I have been toying with the idea of getting a Nuke / Furnace license... If I do, I can do some further cleanup on these myself.
