    Degraying question

I was looking at the instructions for degraying, and wondered if you could substitute armorall , or a similar product instead of the tire wet mentioned in the instructions?

They are both polymer restoratives and clear so conceivably it should work but to be honest I just used the tire wet magical product since it is something I had anyway. let us all know how it works for you

using products like tire wet just restores the overall appearance doesn't it? I mean, do you really add life to the product or are you just making it 'look' like it's not zombied?

Thanks for the advice. I wanted to make sure you had to stick with the products mentioned.

The only purpose of the tire wet is so the plastidip doesn't stick and take the paint off the face. anything that keeps it from sticking should work. I didn't choose tire wet from a process of trial and error. After pealing off the eyebrows and eyepaint from the first head I just looked around the house for something to keep it from sticking and tire wet was the first thing I found. I always thought someone would come up with something better. The tire wet actually makes the process take longer, more dips.

I'm sure you can find an old grey Supes head sitting around somewhere. You should try the other stuff and post your results. Then you'll know, and knowing is half the battle.

I had mixed results with this process. A supes head came out perfect, but after several dunkings on a Mr. Fantastic head he lost his eyes and brows. I soaked him good to with the tire magic in between dunkings.

Well, Sarge and Ponch are sitting on the back porch drying from their first dip.

After my first attempt, Sarge looks alot better. Ponch looks about 25% better. Will his yellow lips and eyes ever go back to normal?

Got any pictures of the results? I'd love to see more pictures showing the final results. I'm about to de-zombify my Trek TMP crew and want to know what I can expect.
