Silkscreen is for the girls , it means the belt and emblems and boots or shoes . Capes are silkscrren printed into suits. Not loose accessories. The capes are always the same. Mike

Silkscreen printing is the method used to print the Lycra suits that many of the Mego WGSH use. For instance, If the suit has the belt printed in the suit, instead of a plastic accessory belt, like Batgirl or Supergirl, the printed suit is a Silkscreened suit. Batgirl and Supergirl have a "Silkscreened version" and a "Non silkscreened version". Dracula has a Silkscreened suit. Batman, on the other hand, does not have a Silkscreened suit. His Lycra suit is simply a grey colored Lycra suit... (The material may not be lycra, but...) Spider-Man and Human Torch have a Silkscreened suit. The Apes and Wolfman's stretch pants, for instance, are not Silkscreened, just colored stretch material... Hope this helps-

          silkscreen

I have always found myself mixed on the subject of silkscreen. Yes the costumes do present a certain amount of flare, but I am a sucker for accessories. however about 3 years ago I made a trade with Amy (formerly known as Dell) for a silkscreen Wonderwoman and my goodness was she a beautiful figure!

I agree with bgrimm, once you get a silkscreen supergal, your other more accessorized supergals don't have the same oomph...all the silkscreen suits helped make the figures more engaging to kiddie eyes.

Another plus is you have less items to lose. I'll use the silk screen Supergirl as an example. You don't have to worry about losing her shoes or belt.

I have to admit I prefer the accessorized Gals--esp. Batgirl, her SS suit always looks sloppy to me. Supergirl is OK, and Wonder Woman is barely different. But I do like my blue-legged SS Catwoman--she seems more unique somehow.

The SS blue-legged Catwoman is more comic book accurate than the other two (even if she wasn't in that outfit for long).

Yeah but the Silkscreen Super gals have the allure of having been the first release and they are a little bit more scarce.

Being a girl, I love accessories...looks more put together IMO. Definitely got to have a belt to cinch the waist if nothing else

Never understood why Wonder Woman gets lumped in with the others. There's a large star/small star suit variation. My understanding is the large stars came out during the other girls silk screen run but otherwise, aren't all Wonder Woman's silk screened?

WW bodysuits were all screened, but later releases have separate cuffs added as bracelets.
