but 10 bucks...yeeesh... friend told me is cus theyre paying for better paint to put on theyre toys so they wont have lead. oh well, i'll be buying from this line

Man, that is a lame excuse. Toys have supposedly been lead-free for at least 30 years. Matttel screws up, and now rival companies can charge more for being safe? Sheesh.
On a positive note, sounds like this Spidey toon is going to be good. My kid will be all over the figures. Better take out a 2nd mortgage on the house...

Could the price increase be due to the rising cost of oil? Plastics are made from petroleum, and shipping costs are only increasing due to rising fuel costs....
The Spider-man figure looks good, but I don't like the Venom and Doc Oct figures.
i read a toy review that theyre 6inches so 9:99 is proba good price thats how much i spenmd on marvel legend 6inch figs so if its 6 inch i'd say theyre worth it.
