Retro Toy Fair Coverage : 1975 gets all Bionic!

Toyfair 1975 was held from February 16 to the 18th of that year, a pretty signifigant year as many iconic toys from the 70's (some spilling over into the 80's) were born, including the big guy below:

Upon seeing Steve Austin, many of us said "Mike Power Who?" and begged our parents for the amazing Kenner Bionic Man. Below is the toy fair promo reel courtesy of you tube:

    Product People Cereal Character Squeezables

Using characters from commercials like Charlie the Tuna and Count Chocula just goes to show how influential advertising is on us as kids. Man, I need to hunt me down a Boo Berry.

Toy Fair 1975: I've always loved the concept of making the Enterprise a rocket.

I had (and have again) The Bionic Woman and her Bionic Beauty Salon. Now I also have Steve Austin, Oscar, Bigfoot, Fembot and Maskatron. I didn't have a toy of any of the products shown, but I did have the Poppin' Fresh Pilsbury Dough Boy. And I was lovin' my Raggedy Ann & Andy Talking Alarm clock!

Keep 'em coming! 70s Toyfair ROCKS!

I remember back in the early 80's buying the Enterprise just to get the correct ESTES decals for my AMT model kit.

Now that I think about it, I never did put together or launch the ESTES Enterprise....
Strange, because I was a rocket nut back in the day.

I remember seeing the Vincent Price artwork ads on the back of comic books for these when I was a kid and I wanted one SOOOOOOO bad! Then I saw it in the store and read where the box said it took overnight just to make one head. I didn't have the patients for that so I bought something else.
