    Thor - scaled up 1:1 from 8" to 12"

You may have seen the thread where my son and I discuss the enlarging of heads.
    That spun into ideas.

I liked how Gentle Giant did the vintage Star Wars figures using 3d scans.

Why not a hard to find Mego?
Never has something like Thor's helmet been scaled up, now it can.

Doing a figure of this kind is not easy, and rather expensive.
When you figure just the base body is $25 at CTVT,it adds up quick doing the fig in quantities.

I'm no seamstress, tried and tried just ain't there yet.
But, I did find material really close to what seems to be what Mego used for their capes.
I bought a bunch and sent it off to our own Brian Leitner and y'all know his vision and work is top notch.

Here's some progress shots and more to come.

The head looks great! I truly believe 3d printing will revolutionize the custom hobby.

That's just how I roll. Truthfully, I don't build "accurate" on purpose and secondly, I build the box in like three hours at a rush jobso I could get the file to my printer guy.

Yes. I had started sourcing Conan parts and plans and then a couple weeks later, CTVT made their 12" line announcement...so I dunno if I am going to go through with it. If I do, he is third on the list....a 1:1 12" Lizard is next.

This Thor is turning out unbelievably awesome, exceeding my expectations.
I got the sample suit from Leitner today and he's due to have the rest of them in my hand at Mego meet so I can assemble and offer them up.

I think y'all are really gonna dig the final pics!
