    Big Jim Database(s) !!

    Yay! A Big Jim sub-forum!!!

Even though I don't have a Big Jim collection, I DO love villains, so I have nefarious plans to get some good ol' Professor Obb's / Dr Steels in my collection. And when I ran across a Big Jim at a garage sale, I became curious and then obsessed with the line, and making a database at FigureRealm. Took me quite some time too!

Now this may have errors, since alot of the figures/clothes I got from catalogues, and there may be some unreleased ones in there, so feel free to suggest any errors to fix the database (or add missing), or you can just contact figurerealm yourself to add/fix! And any missing 'in the box' pics to add to the database (especially clothes), would be welcome!

Also, I didn't specify the U.S. released versus the overseas, as the crossover on ebay means anybody can collect, but you can always ask to add info in the text part of the series to clarify releases, because mostly I don't know what I'm talking about!!

I hope collectors find this database useful, and also feel free to add other website links with info about the Big Jim line!

Very cool to have that. Even after all these years of knowing, I'm still just blown away at the volume of stuff I never knew about as a kid overseas.

Nice job. I'm completing it secretly and missing Canadian boxes mainly.
I found last year a Canadian PACK Lazervette. It looks obvious that the other PACK vehicules were released in canadian boxes although I never ever seen any.
Is there anyone here having a Beast, Howler or Swamp Patrol in Canadian box ?

I have never seen a Swamp Boat in a Canadian box, I've never seen it loose here either.

There's a chance only the Lazervette came up in Canada but it would look weird only one vehicule was released and not the others to me.
I am placing many reserves on the possibility that the multiple vehicules boxes were released in Canada (Off-Road Patrol, Off-Road adventure and Blitz-Rig).

I have most of the department store catalogs from that era and Lazervette and Howler are all I see.

However Canada, however is filled with weird items, this Dr Steel fell into my lap a few years ago:

                It's like All Star/PACK hybrid.

A friend of mine has a Canadian Steel like yours too.
This is the only red/white canadian box with side flap figure I know of. A curious one indeed.
Jim, Josh, Jeff and Steel were released in window boxes with no side flap.

Great information you are giving to me Palitoy ! So there should only be a canadian Howler with the Lazervette.

I should think so but I'll double check the Shoprite books. They are the only two I remember as a kid.

That doesn't mean they aren't out there. Nothing surprises me anymore....

After more than 15 years of collection I am still discovering new stuff too.
Recently knew about a German set I never seen before.

Has anyone ever seen a Dr. Drago version of the Howler ?

Not exactly. Dr Drago (=mexican Dr Steel) only has a buggy actually.
But there is a mexican Howler called LoboMoto.
