    Mike,

How many years you hated the first new Trek movie?

Then you finally watched it, and you liked it, lol.

    So pipe down already, lol.

I dunno about this one though

Unless the trailers are fake it is what it is.

Newest poster -- great for the immediate evocations, for sure, but the new Enterprise is already supposed to be almost Galaxy-class in size, making this new ship, the Vengeance, crazy big. Like Star Wars big.

          Thoughts?

So wait. Kahn is in Starfleet? Or is there another villian? I guess I'm kind of confused with the trailer with Pike and Kirk.

At least they have cranial ridges. But the lack of hair is perplexing. Maybe it's just that individual Klingon.

Once again, Trek seems to have been taken away from what Gene Imagined and gave us. The last time this happened, it nearly destroyed the franchise. This new movie may be following that trend. Lets see what it brings, but from what I already know of it, it does not seem like it will. :o(

Yes. He has to be less offend a section of the international audience.

That is the logic. Swear. Wait until tomorrow.

I read that the main Klingon characters will be bald in the movie because -- wait for it -- the wigs didn't fit right with the new JJ Abrams helmet look for the Klingons, so rather than put up with the problems of the wigs shifting as their helmets came off and on, they decided to just do them without. Backgound Klingons not taking their helmets off and on will have hair, they say.

Personally, I think if you're going to do a bald Klingon in the reboot, there should be only one, and he should be a young General Chang, whomaybe loses an eye by the end of the movie. If they're going to keep bringing everyone to the story, might as well go all in.

I hear General Zod will NOT BE Kryptonian in Man of Steel, for fear of insulting other Kryptonians. Instead, he'll be a Urnaian, because no one cares about offending folks from Uranus.

And here I thought Abrams had a secret hair fetish or something. Heck, the Romulans were bald in the last movie.

I went for a walk at lunch today, and suddenly realized why that new poster screamed Star Wars at me:

                                AvengerChaseFalcon-ST.jpg

Really, as much as so many people go one about Abrams bringing the ST franchise back to life, it just seems derivative of like, well, everything.
