If you're talking about whom (is that correct?) I think you are, are you sure he'll be playing that character by him just saying 'a villain?' That sounds vauge to me (of course, he said it when it's been announced he'll be playing a high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, so...).

right, and it would make sense to recast the role since Hugo Weaving won't be back. I was trying not to post spoiler rumors by not mention the Red Skull.

^^ Well it's not really a spoiler, since it's not official that he's playing Skull, so for now it's just a discussion. And if it turns out that he's playing Skull, then you'll be praised for calling it from the begining.

It makes the most sense that he might be playing Skull. Redford does look like Skull's Dell Rusk disguise.

Plus, the word Red is in his name.

I would be surprised if they went to the "Skull Return" card this quickly.

From what I've read, this seems like it's going to be a "Cap has old-school virtues" that doesn't jibe with modern clandestine ops. My speculation - Winter Soldier a product of our government abandoning one of our own. Redford will be the guy in charge of the coverup, who will then sic Batroc some Shield agents like Falcon on Cap to stop him from discovering the truth.
