I like classic Battlestar Galactica more as an adult than I ever did as a kid, making me wonder why I ever had to have these figures so bad.
I would have loved to have found Baltar, Lucifer and Gold Cyclon as a wee one but they're still evading me into adulthood. In the early ninties, I spent some weekends working with John Colicos (Baltar) and during a car ride mentioned his action figure, even he didn't have one.

Interesting that the one figure missing from that page is the Boray. When I was 8, I got the first six as soon as they came out, but I never saw the 2nd series in stores, Gold Cylon, Baltar, Lucifer and Boray. I don't think they ever even came to good ole Scranton PA where I grew up, that was often the case with tougher toys.

I have every one except Baltar MOC now Give it time!

Only for Earthlings! Cylon Commander, yours for only four proofs of purchase!

Found this, along with some other cool toy ads, while going through some old issues of Marvel Tales this weekend...

I think this was how I scored my Cylon Commander as a kid.

I was lucky enough as a kid to score one. When I saw him in the store he pretty stuck out like a sore thumb compared to the other Cylons.

That ad was the only way I knew they existed, Canada didn't get the second wave.

Awesome! I think I couldn't get a gold Cylon as a kid, so I painted my silver one gold. Used the wrong paint (model) and it stayed sticky for years!

And what was up with the 12 inch figs? Not even close to the actual characters? The small ones were good, but those wern't close!

Mattel recycled the 12" Captain Lazer doll from the 60's for those.
