    Barbie for 1973

I don't do enough girl's related things here, so I thought it be fun to highlight some of the things that were new forBarbie in Spring of 1973. Barbie got curlier, Ken started looking like Ron Burgundy and everybody got a just a little bit mod.

My wife will flip. She's a Barbie nut, and loves the 70s mod look with the Steffi face.

My God, I just scared the living hell out of myself.

I got Quick Curl Kelley when I turned 7 in 1973. In fact I think this little catalog came w/ it. Such memories.

Barbie deserves some attention, After all This is the most successful toy in the world. What other toy has been around for almost 50 years without ever being off the market?

My cousin had the Mod Hair Ken and the Sport and Shave Ken. All I had was the blonde Malibu Ken. She had a good collection of Barbies too.

I agree, plus I think the playsets and accessories that were part of the Barbie line, especially for back then, were pretty outstanding. Other than the 12" Joes, I was always envious that my other action figures didn't have as much extra stuff and variations! Well until Star Wars, at least...
