    3...2...1...blastoff!

    Along with the more popular estes company, there were several other mail away model rocketry catalogs. Here is a December 1971 Centuri catalog. Pretty cool detail on many of these, also notice the 1970's haircuts and clothing!

    How many of you were in to this in the day? I remember building them, shooting them up never to be found or seen again! Fun stuff!

      I built two rockets but they were really simple ones since we couldn't afford the really big and fancy ones. Only one actually took off and I remember that it was on a very cold day. I gave up on them after that so my experience with rocket building were not so pleasant.

        I had that Saturn-5 back in the day.

        Because I was lazy I never put it together (was a gift)

        Years later (in the late 80's) I sold it to a hobby shop for $100.00

        I never bothered checking the value -- just took the money and ran
