this slipped past the radar. it's supposed to come to the US too but I think Canadian DVD's can be watched on USA players.

I think us and Canada are both considered "region 1" so should work.

US and Canadian DVDs are both region 1 and NTSC, believe me, I have plenty of releases from both countries, each country can play each others' discs with no issues.

I knew Nimoy from this before I really knew him from Trek! My dad liked to watch "In Search Of" when I was really young. He also liked Star Trek, but for some reason, I wouldn't give it a chance until I was 6 or so. I had a Mego Spock and had no idea who he was! I didn't even know he was the "In Search Of" guy.

The show used to creep me out, but I couldn't turn away...

HA! I thought you were "In Search of" a Canadian DVD collection.

Loved that show back in the day.

I will have to find out if the shows have the original opening and closing credits. In recent years the shows have been shown on a cable network but with redone opening and closing credits.

I was just thinking of that.

I think they changed the opening (cut out the song) when it aired on either Lifetime or A&E in the early 90's

Also, I think they were hacked down to a half hour on those showings too.

I thought they were only a half hour to begin with. Also, maybe the cable channel themselves did the new opening and it won't carry over the set.

                            My mistake

I read it wrong --- it was the first three specials with Rod that was an hour apiece
