Well, most of the Mego scaled stuff like the bodysuits should fit her. Craig has been very careful about that.

With a good bodysuit, you can basically add anything to it like pauldrons, vambraces, helmets, greaves, girdles, boots, gauntlets, holsters, baldrics, tunics, skirts, etc.

Their holiday break ends on the 16th so hopefully I'll have an update from the factory shortly after. Fingers and toes still crossed.

It feels like it's taking forever, though. This month is simply crawling along like a tortoise with arthritis.

And it's a short month, too.

I'm trying to keep busy planning what I'm going to do once I have my sweaty paws on Yvonne. Looking into re-rooting etc.

When you do, be real careful about how much force you use to remove the hairplugs from the inside.

I've torn up a couple of Dinah scalps that way, beyond repair or rerooting. But then, they packed the hair too close for comfort, and left gaping huge holes with the hair sewing needle.

Heat up the head a bit with either a blow dryer or some warm water. That might make it easier to remove the plugs after you cut the hair short.

                          Aw, that sounds terrible!

I think I'll heat the head and take it VERY slowly.

Though the sooner Craig comes up with alternate heads the better (hint, hint!)

He said that the material would be of firmer stuff than the vintage.

Remember, the Dinah figures are pretty much old ladies in the toy world, over 40 years!

It's no wonder that the vinyl is a bit soft, but still, I recommend caution anyway.

                            It can't hurt, after all.

I'm thinking of braiding the dickens out of her hair, and giving her a hot water perm. It might be easier than using drinking straws, especially if the braids are REALLY teeny, tiny.

True, but I'll still take it easy!

I can't braid to save my life! Though I may cheat and use small hair pins to style.

Looking forward to accessorising Yvonne, and seeing what Craig comes out with for his male body.

Forty something days until the end of March, kids.

There's only eleven more days of February to get through, and then we have to get through all of March!

Fire up your sewing machines, get the patterns out, and all of the really good fabric that you've been saving for something special.
