Thanks so much for posting these pics! I love the 'hotter than hell' Gene variant. Do Ace's knees bend in those tall boots?
What's up with 'bandit' Paul's hair line? Is this what he looks like without his wig? I've gotta order me one of these... the question is 'which one?'

Ace's knees do not bend in the boots, but the boots are amazing. There is no question 'which one' it is the Gene variant!!

And yes the Captain...I mean Paul's head is huge in the variant.

AWESOME pics! Hmmmmm... You're really selling me on getting these figures now. I like their flexibility. And I understand why Ace can't do much with those boots. But that makes sense. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am looking at the 8 inch figures, right? It looks like they made some improvements on the hair too. Paul's is no longer spiked in the front and the others is actually styled and not just straight rooted. Looks good!

The only thing I don't like is Ace's hairline on the Star Child version. Hi kinda looks like a hippie Mime.

They are the 8" figure. They are overpriced for my taste, but you can't help but love them. Though I might use the Sonic Boom figures as toilet paper when they come out.

thanks for posting these pics!!!! they made me place an order for the HTH Gene!
As far as the sonic boom figures go... they all look like the sonic boom era (except for Gene, who just looks terrible) in all of it's generic-ness... toilet paper may just be the best use for those!!!
I'd love to see these new figures get the same sort of comparison as in this thread: KissSeriesOneComparison

got bandit paul today,they've improved a bit on the bodies(but still transferring them to a drmego body) and the outfit was nice.looking forward to sonic boom,just for a more accurate paul head.i do hope they get to vinnie vincent,eric carr and even non makeup 80's kiss.

I can't put my finger on why the Sonic Boom Gene looks odd. Maybe his head is too big. I do like the boots however, and I wish the shape of the 1974 boots were more like the Sonic Boom ones, although I like that the 1974 boots are all one piece instead of the plastic foot and fabric tops.

I love love love the Hotter Than Hell Gene! I'm getting that one for sure. I wish for a Hotter Than Hell Ace too, because I love that weird costume of his.

The bodies are better. They aren't strung as tight as the first series.

Got my '74 Ace! Here he is with the series 1 Peter Criss & the Hotter than Hell Gene Simmons variant.
The bodies are greatly improved from the first series.
Really digging these new figures! After this shot, I did a bit of stitching on the back of Ace's shirt to tighten the fit. I also added a bit of black paint to Ace's lips, to make them fuller and a closer match with the original Mego Ace. I'll post updated pics when I get a chance.
