OOOHHH, one of the figures is of James Remar! With a little work, maybe I can finally start The Warriors.

I am cautiously optimistic. I am particularly interested to see if their body will be a variation of the kind of stuff they usually do, with removable clothes of course. There's always room for another version of the classic Mego body, but it wouldn't be horrible to see something along these lines either. With a squishy head of course.

Yeah, that's me. This could be great but it could also be hyper stylized, which actually may not be a bad thing either.

They use the phrase "action doll" (something I used with Brick too) that gives me hope...

Cool news! I'm a big Tarantino nut, so I've been looking forward to Django Unchained for quite awhile now. I'd love to see this done for characters from some of his earlier films as well.

Neca just got a Marvel license too and is producing 1/4 scale heroes. Maybe...too much to hope for?

^^ me too. and this is not a knock against any of the people here who have contributed to the rebirth of the 8 inch format, but I'm glad somebody else is giving it a go.

Looking at their Rocky and other figures this could be really cool. There have not been a lot of major changes in the 8" bodies for a long time other than swivel biceps. A more realistic body could lead to some great customs!

Mego has a very retro style to it. So of course that is part of the reason it makes sense for Tarantino merchandise. But all the same, there is something very exciting about someone trying 1:9 scale with a license that isn't 30 years old. Consider my curiosity piqued.

With that music the trailer has, I was expecting it to say "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Funk." With Tarantino, that could've happened.
