Atari had a lot of problems with unlicensed games.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

  5. I agree. To much unlicensed stuff on the 2600. The only companies that I feel really put effort into their titles was Activision and Parker Brothers.

I think Mattel's M Network games were also a pretty good considering the 2600's graphic limitations. The 2600 version of Burger Time is the worst of the ports but still pretty amazing by 2600 standards.
