Is this a real alter ego Clark Kent head? thanks in advance for any help.



Hey fellow & female mego heads!

I have a co worker at work who lives at garage sales every weekend. I asked him to pick me up megos if he ever sees them.

Today he came in with the this head and a bag of parts for me.
at first I thought it was a superman head - I checked the neck and there is no markings at all -

I checked the site and it looks legit - but I never get lucky so
want to know if anyone here can confirm it or not? or is it don? dynamite boy friend? or is that the same head as ck?

there is even a pinch of mego greying by the neck plug.

please let me know if you have any info

I guess it could be Don, but seems legit to me. How'd you get it? was it just the head or on a body?

Hi,

From the picture it is difficult to tell the color - If you look at a regular Superman head it has more red compared to CK. It has no markings and if it has the correct color then awesome!!! I was lucky enough to get a Clark Kent from a great collector here on Christmas Day a few years back - it made my day

all the others are mego superman heads. the one in question is to the right of the one on the body

Lee(MK)t came loose in a bag of mego parts. a friend of mine lives for garage sales - he picked this one up at one. he is nuts he is not a toy guy but a garage sale guy. He goes to about 25 per weekend all over NJ and PA

this is the only the 3rd time he found something mego for me.
the one thing i'm 99% sure of is that it is real mego, the feel is the same (not any DM or CTV repro or anything)
The paint is also standard to mego.

my lack of knowledge is this, regardless if it is a CK or Don head is it worth the same?
I'm not going to sell it but keep it. Odds are I will never own any of the others so it would be nice to own at least one.

It is still difficult to say because he is next to T2 heads. I took a picture of CK next too the earliest Superman that I have. The difference is really subtle but the Clark Kent head is more mocha color than a T1 Superman head.

I don't know of too many early figures that grey. Usually they are all T2's that zombie out.

Thanks Joe for the pics - I will have to wait till I get an older head - but just looking at yours - I do not think it is a alter ego head.
it looks white-ish not the mocha that you and the MM talk about.

But it is mego - and also blank on the neck.
I can only guess at this point - but maybe it is the Don (dyna boy friend)

either way for 5.00 I can't complain - and it came with a bunch of other mego parts, original batman belt, robin gloves and some other odds and ends.

I plan on going to mego meet next year - I will bring it with me and show it around to see if anyone knows who or what it is.
