Good luck on the hunt Derek. I understand your passion for AF15, but what you did have is more rare (5?) than the amount of issues out there. If I died, my wife couldn't use the life issurance to get a AF15 LOL. BTW how many are left of that issue in existence? It will definetely be a bigger investment with returns than stocks.

The problem is this...the demand for the AF15 is SUBSTANTIALLY greater than the demand for either of these figures. The Mego collecting pool is much smaller than the comic book world. This issue is skyrocketing off the charts in price and if I don't move on one soon, I will never be able to afford it.

I've had my eye on several, just never been able to purchase...so the hunt really begins now.

I've had a war chest for this item for a while, but just when I get it built up, something comes along in our family where I need to use the money more. So, I inevitably start over with saving for it. I've done this twice.

A month ago, I had what I thought was a great lead on a copy of AF15 for a great price...but it turned out to be a scam. Didn't lose any money, but it was a scam nonetheless.

As I started re-searching prices again, I noticed that this book is selling right now for 1.5 to 2 times guide...and guide is high. A 2.0 (good) copy books for $3500...a 4.0 (very good) for $7500 - if you can find one at those prices.

So I decided it's either now or never. If I'm going to get one, then something is going to have to be sacrificed out of my collection to do so. And you guys know the rest of the story.
