    Plaid Stallions RMcD

My own natural aversion to clowns wrestles with my innate nostalgia in a bitter battle to the death each time I see vintage McDonald's merchandise like this Hasbro Ronald McDonald doll.

It reminds me of a happier time when I honestly wanted to visit the place and enjoyed their food with no worry of consequence. I miss my high functioning child metabolism, please come back.

I had this doll at probably age 2 or 3, and didn't set foot in a McDonald's until at least age 7. Go figure!

"Hug him, his whistle blows...pull the string, Grimace shows!"- Maybe I'm taking it out of context but that sounds dirty...

Is that a Grimace in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

Did Ronald use a whistle in early commercials, I don't recall. Was it related to the character or was it just something interactive they came up with? It might be the clown thing with me, too, but for some reason, as much as I liked going ot MCD as a kid, Outside of the MC Donald land poster I had, I then and now just do not have the urge to collect those characters.

My younger half sister had one of these when she was a toddler. I just remember the stuffed one.

I saw one of these just this morning at an antique mall, they wanted $40.00 which I thought was very high. Not wanting to own a Ronald, but I do miss McDonaldland & the characters.
