My brother in Florida came across this collection for sale. The guy was asking $1200, my brother got him down to $450. My brother calls me from the guy's house asking my opinion (he doesn't know toys as well as I do). I told him $1200 was a little high and try to get him down. When he called me back on the way home to tell me he got it for $450, I nearly fell over. He still didn't know if he got a good deal or not. I told him I would give him $700 and I would do all the work in selling it. He passed on the offer.

Wow that is a killer deal. The guy must have needed some quick cash. Or he had a relative die and didn't know anything about them.Comment

From what my brother said, it was his collection. He also had some graded comics (golden age) and other stuff. He is going back to maybe get those as well.sigpicComment

There are atleast 20 figures in this photograph alone. I figure those are worth $25-$50 each easily. Plus, all those loose items from the sets sell for $10-$20 each. The helicopter is $75. I'm not sure of the value of the empty boxes, but atleast $40 each. I see three deep sea diver diving bells in this photo. They go for $30 each.Last edited by theantiquetiger; Aug 12, '12, 3:49 AM.sigpicComment

the troubleshooter(orange buggy) goes for a good penney as well if complete and I see a box for one in the background. the $1200 the guy was asking for was a fair price, but at 450.00 man what a score. the swamp craft easily goes for $100, looks pretty complete. you've got the frogman set with box three as well. Sweet!!!Comment

He'll do quite well at $450 if he's reselling it.
Tell your brother I'd be interested in that boxed Troubleshooter.....Comment

I told my brother to join here and sell some of it before putting it on eBay to save on fees. He said he may do it. Unlike me (who does it as a hobby), my brother flips collections for a living and is scared to lose a dime.sigpicComment
