I am a huge fan of The Monkees, ever since CBS ran the show on Saturdays, and it's sad this couldn't have happened when Davy was still alive. I would have loved to have seen the four of them together in concert. I did get to see them during their 20th Anniversary Tour and they were great. At least with Mike Nesmith joining them now the audiences will get to hear him play the guitar on "Pleasent Valley Sunday" and I suspect they will also perform "Circle Sky". If you have never heard the live version of "Circle Sky" check it out sometime. It kicks a** and it's actually played by all four Monkees!

Wow. Maybe Mike and Davey didn't get along? I also wish this happened sooner.

However, Mike is my favorite and I may see them in Philly.

They should just get Mickey to sings Davy's songs

If they got anyone outside the band it would be kinda inappropriate

Mickey should be able to handle Davy's songs. At least fans will get to see as many Monkees together as possible but it's still a shame they never all got together again for a tour.

Is David Cassidy available? ;p I met Peter Tork years ago at a convention. He was one of the few celebrities I met that rubbed me the wrong way so I have to say: "PASSSS!!!!"

If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Pete's kinda the bland one....Davey got all the girls, Micky was the funny one and the other good singer, Mike wore the hat and sung cool country style songs and Peter...errr ummm ummmm yeah him....

Peter was portrayed as the dumb one. I'm sure he wasn't really dumb, but his character on the show was dumb.

It is sad that Nesmith waited too late. I know he did play with them on occasion, but now it's too late.

Just thought of something, I think Tommy Boyce has been performing with the Monkee's for almost 40 years now ... Maybe he might do Davys songs (or him and Mickey together)

I recall Davy saying, in print somewhere, that Nesmith bailed because the critics came down hard on him and the band and Nesmith let it get to him. The critics will always douse them with insults. It's time to get past it. So maybe he didn't appreciate Davy being so candid in the interview. I also heard Nesmith can't do the proper guitar riff for Last Train To Clarksville anymore because he's too old and out of practice.
