"The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow...How did it come to this?"
I kind of like it. Its not going to be exactly the same. To a layman, its the Enterprise. To Trekkies its probably blasphemy for most. But I'm trying to keep an open mind. They are going to do this...
Chris
I don't hate it, kind of retro looking.
Rack Toys: Cheap, Crazed Playthings book now available!
I consider myself a bit of a trekkie. I like the ship from a visual standpoint and for a SEquel it would be grat. BUT for a PREquel - I dunno.
If it's an artists rendition of what the 1701 Enterprise might look like in the future of Scott Bakula's series, i'd say it's quite nice.
If this is a picture of the NEW MOVIE'S 1701 Enterprise, I say --- the movie is dead in the water.
If they use this version, does that mean CBS is going to RE-RE-due all their special edition CGI crap on the classic series ?
Where does it end ?

I'm really on the fence about this. I don't hate it but I come from the school of If it aint broke-don't fix it. For a Pre-quel it's out of place. For an alternate Trek reality-if that rumor is true, maybe it fits.

It looks fine to me.

Scotty is probably turning in his grave.
Don't forget, on Relics ... Scotty made it clear he didn't even care for the A version
This thing would totally give him a heart attack![]()

I like it. The original Enterprise always looked fragile and, frankly, illogical.
It won't be long before the old ship is forgotten.
To me, it looks to much like the Enterprise-E
I think it's the warp engines.
