I much as I hate to say it....you might have to ditch it and go buy a new one.
The good news is that good Blu-ray players are reasonably priced these days compared to where they were a few years ago...good luck

Yeah, these days they are so cheap you might as well just get a new one. I remember not long ago when BD players were a thousand bucks and the cheapest option was buying a PS3 for what then cost around $700. The players are dirt cheap by comparison nowadays.
