I never really cared much for the original...I found it quite forgettable.
Despite the poor reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, I still want see it. There have been other movies that were panned by main stream critics that later on became cult classics(Star Wars, Blade Runner, etc...).

just watched the new mind bending edition bluray of the original last night. great movie. i will wait for netflix or bluray for the remake. i will watch just for kate Beckinsale. she's a goddess
