Thread: An all new Hellboy in the works.

You could do a bisection mod to the waist and shoulders of a hulk torso so it fit a standard T2 pelvis and arms too, which is what I did for my first in 2000 - HB has a lot of width on the trunk, but his left arm really isn't that beefy, though that may not be the look you're after.
This is what it looks like mixed in with T2 and an old grainy pic of the proto from my NYC days:

    small update -

Knew I couldn't find boots to fit the new hulk body feet - I made some.
Another frankenstein-ing process to achieve the look.

Heat up the doc body to remove the foot. Amazing how soft the plastic gets, then hardens right back up.

I bought a pair of CTVT boots for a 12" figure. I simply loved the texture, soles, and laces on the boots.

I used an exacto knife to cut the boot apart along certain seams.
I used a dremil to grind down the hulk foot.
Hot glue to piece it together.
Clay to fill in some hard spots.
My exacto knife has a textured knob - which i used to roll a pattern into the clay so it looked like material.

For this figure, once I get the pants done, I doubt you'll even see the boot laces, but the boots can be used now for other characters.

next on my plate will probably be his hands.
I want to do a left hand with articulated fingers so he can hold his gun.
Hand of Doom will be all from scratch somehow too.

bumpin this one up with megomeet in four days...

I've really done more than I thought, then, some that went easy.
Using the 3D scanner and 3D printer, a new Hulk body from Doc, and a vintage mego body I have worked up a swivel-torso Hulk body.
Also, we took the Doc right hand, scanned it, flipped it, and now it is his left hand.
The RHOD was actually a free file from thingiverse that I scaled down to mego-scale. It's hollow, slips up the arm (with original Hulk hand removed obviously) and it can rotate.

    Not seen is the clothing.
I originally started with China since I had good luck with my Red Skull cosplay outfit.
Despite my design efforts and our great communication for Red Skull - they simply could not pull off mego-scale clothing.
    So I went looking.
I was put in contact with a seamstress who helped design the clothing patterns for Cast-A-Way Toys' china shop.
She was great to work with, did a bang up job and i can't wait to reveal a full assembled pic of Hellboy.

Here's a work-in-progress, will post more pics later and move over to Finished Customs.
