Watching Conan O'Brien last night and waiting for Dhani Harrison's band thenewno2 to play live on the show and Angie Harmon comes on to do some PR for her show on cable. First thing...she's still HOT!!! She mentions she wants to be She-Hulk. Here's the clip from Conan last night:

Conan is still funny...just keep forgetting he's on cable. And at 11PM instead of the 11:30 normal hour for late night talk shows.

She is a very good actress who has shown her skills in drama, and she was comissioner Barbara gordon in batman beyond too. The fact that she is attractive and tall only helps.

Actually no, She-Hulk is a character you need a real actress to pull off not CGI. You need to find someone new who is 6 feet plus and then add some weight to. She-Hulk stays herself all the time a different actress to be her is only needed for a few minutes in the first film.....

Angie Harmon is delusional if she thinks she would get that part...she has no big Box office appeal and no producer would give her that part........plus she's 5'9 and 39 years old....she's too old for the part and not tall enough

Given that at this point, She Hulk would probably have to be a CG creation anyways, just like her cousin is now established as a motion capture suit creation, they would focus on casting Jennifer Walters primarily I'd imagine.

That way you don't have to worry about casting a seven foot tall woman with the proper musculature and physicality. Focus on an actress who can pull off the charm and humour of She Hulk. Heck, cast Andy Serkis.

I really don't think this would have worked too well.


As much as I love the Benny Hill She Hulk skit, no one is going to take a super model in green paint too seriously when there is now certain expectations of what a Hulk is given where contemporary SFX have taken us. I remember all the fuss kicked up when they first announced Hulk as a CG creation Vs casting a body builder... Three movies later it's a given and no one is disputing how well it worked in the Avengers this past summer. Heck I distinctly remember a thread here proclaiming that Rise of the Planet of the Apes was doomed to failure because Ceasar and the other apes were CG and not guys in rubber masks... I mean you had that in the Burton film and you see how well that worked out.

Nope IMO a CGI She-Hulk wouldn't work and green paint? are you serious? who would do that in the digital age?....colors and size can be fixed post production....you you need a Human actress to pull Jenn's character off a CG She-hulk would look dumb.. the Hulk I get no one can be that big....

Height and body mass can be faked using cgi to tweak an actresses look but She-Hulk can't be done full-blown cgi. Unlike The HULK, She-Hulk is not a raging, ripped, super-muscled hero. She-Hulk would appear to be a normal woman except for color and size. Recall the premise of this issue? It was established here and is a good point in regards to how she looks:



Also just look how they mixed and composited regular people as Hobbits, Dwarves, etc. in the LOTR trillogy. An actress might have to wear some color body make-up but it would probably be enhanced in post. Like Angelina Jolie in Beowulf, any actresses body can be stretched to appear more massive. I suspect Jolie is way thinner than what her character is shown as in the film. Of all the cgi in Beoulf I think Jolie was probably the best combo of actress footage to cgi render.

Angie Harmon is a good choice-just not bankable. She hasn't proven to be popular enough to carry a big budget film. Still before the first Iron Man became a big hit a lot of people were skeptical of the choice for Stark/Iron Man. If they feature her as a member of the Avengers in a sequel and she proves herself she might get a stand alone film.

Which leads the question at what point does the motion capture actress end and CG creation begin? Jolie's character was inarguably a motion capture CG creation in Beowulf... Not forced perspective and prosthetics like The hobbits. They are two different things.

If you are enlarging and colouring an actress green anyways, they will undoubtably enhance the musculature and features to make her seem more like She Hulk anyways... Again turning her more or less into a CG element no matter how you slice it. At this point in the age of Post Avatar it seems kind of odd to dismiss the notion completely of creating a believable character and still feminine in post. It's been done already dozens of times. She Hulk is going to be done in motion capture CG inevitably, and just like every other CG creation in the past ten years, no one will care because it's so commonplace now.

Here is how they "enhanced" Jolie... They motion captured her, and then the animators went to work. No different than if they cast her as She Hulk, if that is the suggestion of how to do it.
