This looks like a great film. I'm not caring too much for the critics who want to pan it. When it comes to this genre', most critics are not fans of the material because you can tell they never enjoyed comics as kids. And I think that's where you begin to see the separation, when the story starts to dig a little deeper into the meat of the comic myth. I'm hoping to see it this weekend. Looks very good.Comment

Saw it today with the wife, son and 3 of his friends and we had a great time. I liked this one better than the first, and I liked that one quite a bit. As much as I'm a DC guy, the Warner folks need to watch these films and realize the importance of FUN. This movie is FUN. It's got some great character moments and lines, but never at the expense of making Thor look like a buffoon. Just a thoroughly satisfying, comic book movie. Washed the taste of IM3 out of my mouth.

I agree, Chris. I liked MOS a lot, but the fun factor wasn't there.
The characters in Thor2 are just enjoyable. It has the kind of camaraderie of a movie like Adventures of Robin Hood. There are stakes, but it's still fun.
It should be cool to be Superman or Batman, at least some of the time.
I like this one better than the original, which I also enjoyed a great deal. I'm not sure how much actual input Josh Whedon had on the story and script, but someone took notes. The movie really captured the vibe of Avengers. They made a great decision in casting Hiddleston as Loki. He and Hemmsworth work really well together. Without him, the film might get too earnest.
With the reveal before the credits, I'm looking forward to Thor3.Comment
