Thread: New head in the making.

  1. #1

    New head in the making.

What do you get when you merge a Mattel Black Adam head with a Darkseid face?

    One neat looking monster.

Once I made a resin cast of Black Adam, I cut the face off, sawed the head into two to make it wider. Filled in with oven bake clay, cooked, and recast.

The new head is still a WIP - my end goal is to add hair, goatee, cigar in the left side of his mouth.... and a couple sawed off horns.
    Yup, Hellboy.

But as you can see, the head has more possibilities.

That is a neat looking monster...Great job! Right now, he looks a bit like the orcs from the LOTR movies.

looks like it will be a good base for Hellboy. good eye.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

That was might first thought too! Don't sculpt any hair on him Chad and he would look like an Orc from LOTR.

Yeppers, Sean has already started brainstorming on doing a couple of those monsters from Lord of the Rings.

I have the mold for the head as you see it..bald.
Once I use a casting from that mold to build on the hair and horns, I'll have a old for that one too.
Anything I build, I mold. Word. Lol.

Here's a pic of how Sean (aka Legend of Link) experimented with painting.
