BEAUTIFUL! To actually be doing this you deserve a 21 phaser salute.

Just one thing, on the Classic bridge the turbo lift doors aren't behind Kirk's chair and there are only 2 full stations to his left.

  3. Yea I know the lifts in the wrong place, but it isn't fixed, the parts were just laid out for photographing and I always seem to put it down symmetrical!

  4. Sorry missed this question when I checked out the thread.
All built of plasticard mainly 30 thou, with a little 40 and 60 thrown in for good measure....The reason for the strange alien like hiroglyphics is that I found a source of plastic signage on the cheap!....The inner floor ring is just cardboard to give me a pattern for laying out.
Hopefully it will be lit, and there is provision for a 10" digital picture frame (or if I can find one cheap enough a tablet!) in the main viewer.....so the crew can watch Star Trek as they work!

As for the turbolift, if the center seat area isn't permanently fixed in place it can always be turned for display purposes. Even on the 1/350 E model that's just been released they give you the option of either/or. Some like it authentic yet offset; some like it straightened out.

    Sweet!

  8. Hello eve everyone, sorry there hasn't been any updates on bridge build, I promise it is still going on!
Unfortunately I had some rather bad news recently, I have been diagnosed with Cancer of the Osophagus and am at present trying to get treatment sorted out, plus I have to finish my big Gunstar for a friend...(cos he's paying me!).
But i promise as soon as things settle down, work will recommence on this beast.......

    Amazing work.

I am curious though about the placement of the turbolift. I always thought it was on the right of the captain's chair when facing it. It looks like you have it positioned directly behind.

Edit: never mind, it was already answered!

So sorry to hear about your health problems. Take care of yourself... and look forward to seeing more updates on this project in the future.
