Price Need help from Vintage Disney Toy Collectors

My neighbor has this Disney childhood toy and was wondering what it's worth. It's a Pluto the Pup made by the Seiberling Latex Company (which I believe later became Goodyear). It was made in the 30's and appears to be in fine shape. Anyway, I couldn't find any live or completed auctions on ebay for this mutt, so I was hoping one of you might know its value.

    Thanks,
    JB

According to a Kovels toy guide I have (which is a few years old), there were 2 of these a 3.5" long & a 7" tall - made in the 1930s.
Both are around the same prices, $40 in good..$90 in excellent...$160 in NM.
Prices are estimates...your mileage may vary.

I collected vintage Disney memorabilia (1930's-50's) for 12 years before I picked up Mego collecting again.

In the Disney collecting community, Kovel's is not widely regarded as a reliable source for Disney memorabilia. As a matter of fact, there is no reliable price guide for vintage Disney memorabilia anymore. There used to be a great price guide (by David Stern), but it 20+ years old now and the prices are outdated. It is a hobby that is very much like Mego collecting...the market (i.e. ebay, Hakes, auction houses) sets the value.

This particular example looks like the larger (7 inch) version. I think part of his tail is missing. Other than that, he is in decent, collectible condition.

Another example (the smaller 4 inch) sold on ebay on June 24 for $19.99. While they are very cool items and roughly about the same value as johnnystorm mentioned, they were mass produced (even for the 1930's) and so there is more supply than demand for these items. Here is the auction that I found for the 4 inch version:
