Happy 50th to Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea-and a new book!

Happy 50th to Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea-and the anniversary book co-authored by William Anchors, former owner of the mail order company Star Tech, if I'm not mistaken:

I'm more pleased to hear Bill Anchors name again.

The book looks good, loved the series as a kid,the flying sub always caught my imagination and the sonar sound from the Seaveiw also made me feel I was right there on the sub.

I did see the collectors box set recently,it has 31 dvds in it,the whole 4 seasons,I wish they would re-run the series.

The book will be extremely limited - 250 copies I think. If you really want it snap it up fast.

Love this show. But I must admit, sometimes the production values were so low, and the scripts so..ahum...stupid...that you just need to set your mind on "popcorn level" and go with the flow!

It goes from being a pretty serious cold war show with some sci-fi leanings to killer ventriloquist dolls and everybody turning into werewolves!

Exactly. I'm halfway through season 3 now, and "silly" seems to be the key word. But I can't help loving it.
It takes me back to when I watched the show on our local channel, sitting beneath the dining room table and eating my sandwiches there! I pretended to be in the Seaview...
