MM '08 Legend of Link- Ironman Mark VII

Welp this is my first custom progress thread so here we go:

This is one guy that I've been wanting to do for a while but never found the right parts. I was browsing around on the internet and stubbled upon the "Marvel The Avengers Repulsor Strike Iron Man Mark VII Action Figure."

Here's a link so you can see an assembelled one :http://www.walmart.com/ip/Marvel-The...em+Description

I thought he was perfect once i saw him. So I instantly ran to my closest Wal-Mart, and bought him. I quickly tore into him, and after 3 hours of solid work, this is how he came out so far.

And remember, everything snaps together so its pretty solid, so EVERYTHING requires ALOT of dremeling.

Below are an already cut arm, and a "still in one piece arm." I cut the arm into "Mego Size" and i shaped accordingly.

Here's the arm by it's self

Now the legs were more of a challenge. Here's a pic of a dremeled leg piece and a non-dremeled

This picture shows how much cutting I had to do.

The calf pieces are the same way as the others, but heres a semi completed leg.

When I first saw the figure in person, I was a little worried. The head looked too small. But when i compared it to other Mego heads, it was a little smaller, but it was bigger then the Zombie heads from the BYOZ kits so it wasn't too bad.

Welp I'll try to get you guys updated, there's still ALOT of work to be done. And I apologize for the crapy pictures.

    Thanks
    -Sean

Welp did some more work after work today.

This picture shows most of the pieces laid out.

Here's a pic with the other leg too.

Here he is with the torso just resting in place with the other arm as well.

This back piece was a real pain in the catch my drift. SOOOO much dremeling was required, but here's before pictures.

And if Tony ever got drunk in the suit again, this is most likely what he'd look like

Keep in mind there is still ALOT of work and touching up to be done.

    Thanks for looking,
    -Sean

neat, should be interesting to see how this is going to work.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

Sean, I don't want to be a jerk, because you've made such a great start.

But have you considered using the slimmer Flatt Dracula body--its thinner physique might help you fit the armor pieces more easily.

    Just a suggestion.
WANTED: RM Robin & P. Parker heads; Batman "waffle" gloves; mint Wolfman tights; Knights', Merry Men, Conan, & Dale Arden swords; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula head;T1 GGoblin body (in good shape but can restring); POTA Soldier Ape minty bandolier; yellow bridle & stirrups; POTA Stallion complete set of tack; Fighting Furies Spanish & Buccaneer outfits & boxed Hook.
