I think my grandmother wore something like that! Good Lord. Can't imagine my dad pointing to that in a catalogue and saying, "you know what honey, I don't have enough ruffly things, order me one in brown".

Oh Lordy, there are so many things wrong with those shirts; it's hard to find a place to start.
Was this back when 'Roots' was in vogue? It would explain the puffy pirate shirt look.
Now, without the ruffles, they look fine. Nice, clean simple lines; which is what really makes a man's shirt look good.
The only time ruffles belong on a man's shirt is when he's at a wedding or a prom, and that is IT!
At least the men in these pics are relatively good looking, that's one saving grace.
