I would watch a movie of Karen Gillan watching paint dry, so her addition to the GotG movie only makes me than much more anxious to see it! Hopefully they
won't hide her under a ton of prosthetics or CGI the daylights out of her. I like my Karen pure and natural!!!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

So Benicio Del Toro is now signed for a role that has an option for future appearances.

Some are speculating it's Adam Warlock.

      I think he's Dr. Strange.

Michael Rooker as Yondu. Kinda cool. I think he's a bad guy in this, but maybe he converts at the end. Pretty neat looking and an interesting casting choice.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Rooker's generally adds a lot to every film he's in. Wonder if the Mohawk will be CGI

Any chance that a Richard Ryder/Nova feature could be spun off from this? If so, than I'm really interested.

Ok I may not keep up with Marvel comics as much as I used to, but when did Yondu join the new GOTG?

                      So we've got this..

                      Who says this...

Diesel lets it be known that the official talks were about a movie for 2016 where he lets it be known Marvel Studios Phase 3 will feature a "merging of brands." Vin Diesel wouldn't say more, but Maria Menounos said she knew what he was talking about.
Menounos was Torch's nurse-squeeze in the FF films. The FF reboot is scheduled to shoot in NoLa very soon, so casting is underway.

I think Vin was up for The Thing. It falls in line with the same thinking as casting him as Groot.

There's been speculation that the X and FF worlds will share the Foxverse version of Marvel, who could also lend other characters to the mix like Hulk. Or, the Inhumans/Shi'ar with Guardians.

^i like Diesel as Thing, and wouldn't a FF vs Hulk movie be truly fantastic or even Wolverine hunting down the Hulk.

^Hulk vs FF/Wolverine is what I'm thinking is in the cards. It's the best way to use Hulk, and historically, his most successful.

Hulk has been my favorite since childhood. I cannot stand the Mantlo/David interpretations because all the material can be applied to other superheroes. Peter David's Hulk run is possibly the greatest Thor/Shazam/Superman comics never written, because he had to totally rework Banner/Hulk to make the premise fit. That in and of itself defeats a character's distinction of purpose.

There's been a lot of industry-historical retconning about Hulk's place in Marvelmania, where Stan was apparently told to stop telling the truth - the book didn't sell - and to blame it on their deal with NPP/DC's carriage distribution. That Marvel could only release 6-8, IIRC, books through NPP, which forced the Astonish/Suspense split titles. Yet until just about the time of the first movie, so thirty years, Stan had repeatedly said they killed it because he didn't sell, and that the reaction was Hulk appeared to be more of a monster than hero. That in turn lead to his guest shot anti-hero run in every other title, and is probably what's going to happen in film now. Which would be awesome.
