Guardians of the Galaxy film in 2014

Guardians of the Galaxy film set for 2014. Say it ain't so. G of G is going to beat the Justice League into theaters. Warner's should be ashamed.

Yeah I saw that yesterday and was disgusted by it....The JLA, the JL-freakin'-A, is going to have their butts handed to them by the Guardians of the Galaxy....Unbelievable...

I don't know much about them aside from the early 90s Jim Valentino series. Kind of an odd choice for a movie, but I'm willing to keep an open mind.

I'm kinda bummed....I was hoping for the old team. Vance Astro, Yondu, Charlie 27, Starhawk, and Martinex.

I wonder if this will mean a Micronauts Bug action figure will be hitting toy shelves in 2014?

I'm actually looking forward to it. Could be as good as Thor!

...so that is where the Thanos tie-in is going:

...and I agree, Guardians should be Major Vance Astro, Charlie 27, Martinex, & Yondu with Starhawk as well.

That would be so cool. Then, the GOTG could warn The Avengers that Thanos is coming to earth, so that they get ready and prepare for his arrival.

Well Warner is really just taking abeating now. Shame on them for having the better known characters and just wasting them when it comes to movies.

I guess Guardians is the only other super group Marvel Studios still have the rights to film. I'm sure they would have rather had X-Men or FF tie in with the Avengers.

If you think about it, Guardians of the Galaxy does makes sense. Like Cap & Thor it's coming off of a very well received comic run. Abnett and Lanning did a fine job on the book. And, while the original team would be great fun. Having Rocket Raccoon and Groot on the big screen would be equally cool.
                        Hey! Check out the pictures.

Just want to say, I'm not against a Guardians of the Galaxy film, although I too would rather see Vance Astro, Yondu, Charlie 27, Starhawk, and Martinex. It ought to be fun and more power to Marvel for being able to get its financing OK'd.

Just what the $%%&# is Warner waiting for. Are they content to let Batman carry the DC banner?
