SDCC Exclusive Captain Action: Capitano in Azione

    http://www.shopafx.com/sandico203.html#captaction

Limited Edition of less than 100
Captain Action Enterprises has recreated the rare "Italian Captain Action" for this year's Comic-Con International exclusive variant. Based on the Baravelli Capitano in Azione 12" figure from the 60's, this variant reproduction spotlights Captain Action with his "flag-style" tunic. Also included, only for this variant, is his Italian Beretta pistol. The very limited Capitano in Azione comes in a retro style box, complete with an exclusive Capitano in Azione brochure, offering a brief history and background on this unique, rare collectible.

A commercial kit bash. That's different. Well my only counter argument to that is I can already have THAT version by just a little rearrangement of the clothes I already have. I'm hungry to see the Iron Man costume inspired by the artwork of Gene Colan.

It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

Can't seem to follow the link on this guy. Obviously a bash of available components, but does he come in a repro of the vintage Italian box? I could go for that if it was not a silly price.

What was that I said about silly prices? I would much rather put 300 towards finding a true vintage Ideal Italy Cap. Nice pics, tho.

That's 3rd party price gouging on ebay, going for much less than that at SDCC.

I know it is the resellers wish. It will be interesting to see what they go for 6 months after the con.
I had a foray into con exclusive madness with the Star Wars McQuarrie items many years ago. First and last time for that sort of thing.

This is pretty much an 'in the know' sort of promotional item tho. Hopefully it will get some good attention to Round 2s new Cappy line.

This is pretty obscure. There is nothing about this in either volume of Michael Eury's book. I can't really see much demand for this, but maybe that's just me.
