The Way Arnie harrassed Ferigno during Pumping Iron was Brutal .... Lou picked for the Hulk was sorta Payback ...., If at all Arnie was even considering the Role.

Had Arnold been chosen for the Hulk, he would have been type cast as a television actor and would have likely missed out out on movie roles as Ferrigno was. Times were different back then too. People were less liberal in their views of an actor's ability to branch into film in the 70's and early 80's. Plenty of actors who were big on television tried it with little success back then.

Is the Richard Kiel Hulk footage out there anywhere? I know he was cast as the Hulk, and production began when the folks realized tall doesn't equal muscle.

And didn't the Hulk people find Ferrigno either through Ah-nuld or by watching "Pumping Iron"?

I know there are plenty of stock photos of him. It still blows my mind how Kenneth Johnson was behind this and almost missed the mark big time. Thank God his kid stepped up and told him the Hulk should be big! I don't know how you go into a project like that and miss that basic dynamic.

Richard Kiel would have made a great Kirby Hulk......If it's not on the DVD of the series i guess it's gone.....
