custom decals (like water-slide, not stickers)??

I want to do the Atom, and I'm wondering about the cowl's forehead insignia. I want a factory-looking atomic design.

Does anyone do custom decals? What other options might there be?

(I suppose Mego would'd done an inscribed emblem with paint accent.)

Years ago. When I was in School for graphic design. There was a process some printers could perform. They would print a design with vinyl ink onto wax like paper. you could then rub this design onto items or surfaces. It was a custom version of rub on type font like "Letraset" fonts. I would imagine the process would be more expensive if it were 2-tone colors.
