    Submission: DC WGSH

    DC WGSH Line Extension
    Author: Anthony Durso (The Toyroom)
    Line: WGSH
Toy Execution (Vintage, Custom or Digital Art): Custom
Packaging Execution (Custom or Digital Art): Custom Cards
Toy Customizers/Collaborators: Anthony Durso (Brian Leitner Lex Luthor)
    Packaging Customizers/Collaborators: Anthony Durso

    Author Notes:

In an effort to add more DC characters to the WGSH line (Green Arrow was the last 8" DC figure before the release of 11 Marvel characters), Mego introduces a wave comprised of The Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman and Lex Luthor (all new) in addition to a returing Superman, Batman and Green Arrow.

Flash, GL and Hawkman are chosen primarily because of their recognizability as JLA members; Luthor is added as a foe for Superman (rumour has it the character will be featured in the upcoming "Superman:The Movie"); Green Arrow returns because of his JLA connections as well as his relationship to GL, ideal for additional play value; Superman and Batman return as well based on sheer popularity of both characters. In addition, Mego is aware of a new cartoon series debuting in the Fall of '78 entitled "Challenge of the Super Friends" that may feature some or all of the characters mentioned above. They consider it a natural tie-in without having to acquire additional rights for the name from Hanna-Barbera, as they already have agreements with DC Comics.

To make room for the new wave of figures, Mego phases out some of the older DC characters and commissions new card art as a result (Shazam and Supergirl are 2 that are dropped from the mix).

Notes: Mego will require a larger bubble to accomodate Hawkman's wings and mask.

(Sorry for the flash on the pics...)

Aha, finally some more WGSH submissions. I thought we would be flooded with these since they seem to be the most logical step.
Great looking set, Anthony. And even the cards are aready done

Excellent stuff...did you purposely make Green Arrow look across to Hawkman ...as if they had " unfinished business" of the fisticuffs variety?

Sweet! I was thinking about submitting my removable mask Hawkman, but my Flash and GL are kind of bland. These look nice! Love the cards, and esp. love the Lex!!!
