@ Bruce Banner
I noted the lack of BOTP toys as a child back in '78-'79. I expected to see Star Wars-like presence on the toy shelves and was sorely disappointed. I recall seeing the Gold Key comics and those cheap Gordy rack toys (gun and the radio set) but my parents never bought them for me, sadly.
The only vintage, licensed BOTP merchandise I owned were kids bedroom slippers! My parents caved and bought them at Kmart because they were functional and not just toys. I actually have a vintage photo of me wearing them as proof ;-)Chris Farley: "Mother of Mercy, I don't speak Japanese!!!"Comment

I loved BOTP as well, and remember the activity books too. The one thing I remember holding in my hands in a K-Mart that I dearly wanted but couldn't talk my parents into getting me was the Entex Phoenix G-5 model kit.
I still watch for one from time to time on ebay....Last edited by drquest; Jun 22, '12, 11:33 PM.Comment

"UniFive" - You can see it on the package. The company was actually a limited-life sub-division of Bandai, catering to retro toy interests. (They made a beautiful, massive diecast GodPhoenix, of which I am a very happy owner.) This is a boxed set of gashapon-style figures.Micronauts Collector, Historian, Consultant

I'm still kicking myself for not picking up a set back in the day when they were imported and retailing via Diamond for under $200.Comment

I know what you mean,I have missed out on some BOTP merchandise at some good prices but was not really into it at the time.
Lets hope they may re-release a Phoenix at some point,I for sure would be down for one.
