Rampart, this is Squad 51. How do you read?
One of these toy companies that specializes in 'retro' action figures should redo these 'retro style'- and keep it 3.75 inches, maybe add an O-ring! Even do 7-Zark-7! However it is done, keep it retro! As an aside, wonder why Takara only produced 'Mark' and not the rest of the lot back around several years ago.. What a missed opportunity!
My theory around the small pile of Mark/Ken figure merchandise we got within the past dozen years post OVA merch was that it tied into the video game series Tatsunoko Fight... Which is why he was generally released alongside figures such as Hurricane Polymar, rather than the rest of the g-force/gathchaman gang. I'd guess he came in a licensing package that only contained him alongside other non Gatchaman Tasunoko characters.
Thus far in recent memory, the recent merchandise that has featured the entire team has been limited to Gashapon style figures that came individuallybor in box sets, as well as Lego style figures by Yujin. a set of Kewpie style key chains, and other small figures on stands, as well as a new series of blind box figures and vehicles.
I really liked the Microman Ken that came out a few years ago.
