    Phoenix Slippers

Well, here I am in Christmas, 1980! I'm holding a brand-spanking new "Four Star" electronic baseball game, which shares an identical chassis with the Mego Pulsonic Baseball game. Tandy had one with the same body, too.

What makes this photo pertinent here & special are my officially licensed Battle of the Planets/Phoenix (aka God Phoenix) vintage bedroom slippers from Kmart! Wheeee!

You can barely discern the nose cone and right wing pod from the Phoenix. (Please forgive the shoddy Photoshop work). The slippers themselves were like a big cotton sock stitched with heavy thread/yarn to a vinyl shell that covered the underside/arch of your foot.

FYI, the cotton-ball-bearded Santa decoration to the left still terrifies me to this day (shudder).

Brian, am I Plaid Stallions worthy?

    ;-)
