Cutting boots?

Want to turn some black superhero boots into boots for my Hutch. Was wondering the best way to cut them?

Silicon or hard plastic?

Either way, I'd suggest an exacto-blade.

Just make sure you mark where you want to cut first, THEN cut.

In the past I've used Sears Handi-Cut tool for cutting boots.
