If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

    I liked it a lot.
Yeah, the early CG of the baby chimp wasn't all that great, but once you get into the story, it's very well-written and intelligent.
    I was pleasantly surprised.

I finally saw it Sunday. Excellent movie. My wife even got into it. I told her it wasn't really Planet of the Apes....yet. Few questions though. Did Caesar's Birth mark move? It was on his left shoulder then later it was on his right shoulder. Also it had been years I thought since David Hewitt got his finger bit off, but at the end he had a finger splint on. And I also didn't feel the love between Freida and Franco, they had been together for over 5 years.

Got to see it last night. HBO finally got around to showing it. All of that build up and in the end,it went nowhere. Bit of a let down for me. Not sure about naming the black dude Jacobs. First thing I thought of is "why name your bad guy after Arthur P. Jacobs?" Although naming the orangutan Maurice was pretty cool. First thing I thought of was Maurice Evans.

Also late to the party,I saw this a few weeks ago,me and the Mrs liked it alot,as Rik said once you get past the CGI baby chimp, the story was really good, there were a few favourite bits of the film I liked, especially the bit when Ceasar and Maurice meet and when he lets the Gorilla out of his cage, all in all a pretty good film,I have not seen a good flick in awhile,so this was refreshing to see.
